Brian Watson

Brian Watson is a Board Member of the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center and an Associate Vice President and PBIG Financial Advisor and Support Team Wealth Management Banking Support professional at Bank of America. He brings extensive experience in wealth management and financial strategy, helping individuals and families build and preserve long‑term financial well‑being.

Watson also leads Black strategic planning and innovation at Black River Life, an initiative that creates art, gatherings, and stories honoring global Black identity and deep ties to land and place. Black River Life’s storytelling centers migration journeys—where communities come from, what they have overcome, and how they can heal together. The organization calls this work “narrative repair,” recognizing that migration stories can illuminate pathways out of harm into a future rich with liberation and dignity.

On The Carver board, Watson offers a powerful blend of financial expertise and narrative‑based community work. He helps strengthen fiscal stewardship, long‑range planning, and resource development while championing programming that uplifts Black history, identity, and healing. His commitment to narrative repair and economic empowerment aligns directly with The Carver’s mission to preserve African American heritage and expand opportunities for current and future generations.
