Join us for a special evening honoring three distinguished alumni of Carver High School whose lives and achievements reflect the enduring legacy of the school and its impact on Phoenix:

  • Fred Warren, JD, PhD (Class of 1953) – Esteemed educator and dedicated community leader whose career has been marked by scholarship, service, and civic engagement.

  • T.C. Dean (Class of 1954) – Carver alumnus, dominant basketball player, and member of the historic 1958 undefeated team at Grand Canyon University, where he became the university’s first African American graduate.

  • William Maxwell (Class of 1947) – Valedictorian, lauded educator, and accomplished author whose work and leadership have inspired generations.

Together, these remarkable alumni will reflect on their experiences at Carver High School and the lasting influence of a school that helped shape leaders, pioneers, and changemakers in our community.
